bunch of wood hippies built an outdoor ampitheater. first show, had the dirt band, and a band called Starwood. Show was going on great. I' standing at the top of the "bowl" with a lady that meant a lot to me and this guy walks up beside me. I look at him turn to her, said, hey he looks just like John Denver. she looks around me says, thats because it IS john denver. seems he was sponsering the band Starwood. We had a great time that day.

For some reason I don't have this song. Haven't heard it in at least a few years, yet I picked it right up again and sang along like I'd heard it yesterday. Such a sweet tune, and the lyrics are wonderful.

There won't be another songwriter and singer like John. His voice touched so many lives. Just to hear his music brings back many wonderful memories of a more simple time. You can listen to his music and sing along even if you haven't heard the song in years. R.I.P. John
